Courtyard view at the Tangier American Legation

Driven by a lifelong passion for the Legation and its history, author, audiovisual teacher, and son of Tangier Juan Ramón Roca volunteered to create a virtual tour of the Legation. With his colleague Demetrio Carlos García Esteban, also an audiovisual teacher at IES Luis Garcia Berlanga in Alicante, Spain, they spent months filming and developing the tour.

Thanks to their work, you can view every corner of the Legation, including sites—like the rooftop and the “Cistern Chapel”—never before shown to the public. You can navigate 360 degrees by clicking on the flashing arrows and using your mouse or by working through the pull-down menu on the top right hand of the screen.
