Executive Director: Jennifer Rasamimanana
Jen Rasamimanana has been the Executive Director since October 1, 2021. Previously, she served for over 20 years as a United States diplomat, retiring from the Foreign Service with the rank of Minister Counselor. Jen served as the U.S. Consul General in Casablanca from 2017-2020. She was the Cultural Attaché in Paris and Diplomat-in-Residence and Visiting Professor at the School of International Affairs at SciencesPo, Paris. During the Arab Spring, Jen was the State Department’s regional Arabic Language Spokesperson, leading engagement with Arabic-speaking publics from Oman to Morocco. She also served at U.S. embassies in Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Syria, and Togo, as well as in key senior State Department positions in Washington DC. Before joining the Foreign Service, Jen taught English as a Foreign Language in Madagascar and worked in technology investment banking and venture capital in Silicon Valley. She is a graduate of the College of William and Mary.

Deputy Director: Yhtimad Bouziane
Yhtimad Bouziane joined TALIM in 2000. Originally from Tangier, a city that has shaped her identity, she holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Montpellier and a master’s degree in international relations with a focus on crisis management from UNIA University in Spain and Abdelmalek Essaadi University in Morocco. Yhtimad is active in several organizations focused on preserving cultural heritage and patrimony. She directs the Tertulias program, book talks, and lectures. She also manages the research center and co-founded the Legation’s women’s literacy program, which since 1999 has helped over 3000 women from Tangier’s medina gain literacy.

Museum Curator: Mohammed Jadidi
Mohammed Jadidi is a multi-lingual Tangerine with a B.A. in English Literature and an M.A. from the King Fahd School of Translation. He joined TALIM in 2000 and manages the museum’s visitor experience program including student tours. Mohammed loves sharing his encyclopedic knowledge of the Legation and its history.

Operations Director: Mustapha Temlli
Mustapha Temlli began working at the Legation in 1993. He oversees maintenance, logistics, installs exhibits, organizes collections, and performs basic restoration. He was born and raised in Jbaila.

Outreach Director: Abdelbaar Mounadi Idrissi
Abdelbaar Mounadi Idrissi, from Taounate Province, has been Outreach Director since August 2020. He holds a diploma from King Fahd School of Translation and a B.A. in English from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University. He is a Fulbright FLTA alum, Erasmus+ exchange participant, and Soliya certified dialogue facilitator. Abdelbaar manages youth outreach and podcast programs.

Literacy Instructor: Fatima Ben Guerch
Fatima Ben Guerch has worked at the Legation since 2005. She teaches Arabic literacy and vocational skills through FTAM, organizes sewing/cooking classes, and helps coordinate TALIM’s volunteer language programs. She also works as a back-up cashier at the Museum.

Administrative Assistant: Latifa Samadi
Latifa Samadi joined TALIM in 2010. She handles accounting, grant reporting, assists scholars, catalogs library resources, and supports events. In her free time, she enjoys learning English and baking cakes.

Maintenance Agent: Abdellah Temlli
Abdellah Temlli joined the Legation in 1989. His plaster and painting skills help preserve the building despite environmental challenges. He considers the Legation family. Born and raised in Jbaila.
Gardener: Ahmed Temlli
Ahmed Temlli has worked at the Legation since 1997. He is responsible for maintaining the gardens, including the iconic red geraniums.
Housekeeper: Rabha El Haymar
Rabha joined in 2014, after then-Director Gerald Loftus saw a documentary of her life. In 2024, she received the U.S. Department of State’s International Women of Courage Award at the White House from First Lady Dr. Jill Biden and Secretary of State Tony Blinken.
