Americans in Morocco
Consul General Maxwell Blake oversaw the acquisition and renovation of the Arab Pavillion in the late 1920’s. He brought artisans from Fes and Marrakech to embellish its floors, ceilings, and walls to ensure that visitors to the Legation would “see the best of Moroccan artisanry.” The Pavilion houses the Americans in Morocco exhibit, Malcom Forbes’ famous dioramas, and temporary exhibits.
